Origin story
Why Tervynex, why these problems
Fifteen-plus years in L&D and Technology taught us the same lesson over and over. The industry knows what's broken. People say so loudly, at conference after conference and in vendor call after vendor call. The platforms with the resources to actually fix it just don't.
Tervynex exists because I got tired of waiting on someone else to do it. We didn't start with a feature list. We started by researching which gaps were costing teams the most time and money, then built for those first. Some of our products will look familiar next to what's already on the market. Look closer and you'll find the specific things practitioners have been asking vendors for, year after year, that the big platforms had every reason to build and never did.
We measure what we improve. We don't guess at it. And the hours we save go back to the person doing the real work, not into another workaround.
Meaning behind the name

Pronounced: Ter‑vy‑nex
Tervynex draws on four ideas: terra, or terrain, understanding a client's operating environment; velocity, faster workflows and execution; nexus, connecting data, AI, content, and business systems; and next, modern transformation.

John Gombocs / Co-Founder & CEO
Fifteen years solving the problems the industry kept naming and never fixed.
John Gombocs served in the U.S. Army in special operations and worked in the staff judge advocate's office as a fraud investigator, work that led him into data recovery and digital forensics, where he built software solutions that did not yet exist. That work created a need for training, and his focus shifted from building the software to teaching people how to use it, a shift that became a fifteen-year career as a learning and development leader.
He has built learning, performance, and compliance functions across professional services, technology, healthcare, and SaaS organizations, led international training teams of various sizes and locations, and designed complex analytical software, including multi-connected dashboards, to reduce staff overhead and improve headcount utilization. Without being asked, he built the governance systems to sustain it. He holds a BS in Legal Sciences and an MBA, is an accomplished public speaker and higher education educator, and lives in Tampa, Florida.

The Team Behind It
Tervynex was not built by one person. Behind every product is a team of industry professionals who have spent their careers inside the problems we set out to solve, not studying them from the outside. They joined Tervynex for the same reason we started it: they were tired of watching real, everyday problems go unaddressed by platforms with every resource to fix them and no urgency to do it. Each of them brings sharp, specific expertise from their own corner of the industry, and together they are some of the most capable people we have had the chance to work with. We are fortunate to build alongside a team this strong, and it is exactly why our solutions hold up in practice, not just in a pitch.
